Dallas Cowboys activate CB Maurice Canady, S Donovan Wilson of IR
As fans enjoyed Christmas Day, the Dallas Cowboys traded ahead of Sunday’s game against Washington.
The Cowboys placed cornerback Maurice Canady in reserve / nominated for the comeback, then activated him on Saturday. Donovan Wilson security has also been activated from Reserve / Designated for the return.
Safeties Kyron Brown and S Darian Thompson were brought up from the practice squad as COVID-19 replacements.
Officially, Cowboys CB Maurice Canada is part of two separate transactions. He was designated to return from the casualty reserve as well as to become active. Confident team in the conditioning of Canada. He will practice later today with hopes of playing on Sunday.

Canady hadn’t trained with the Cowboys since suffering a concussion Oct. 17 against the New England Patriots. He trained on Saturday and will provide depth at the cornerback with Jourdan Lewis in COVID-19 protocols.
The Cowboys signed Canady in 2020, but he didn’t play a single snap last season. Canady was one of 66 NFL players who pulled out of the 2020 season due to issues related to COVID-19.
In 38 career games, Canady has defended six assists and one interception.
