Sony’s LinkBuds S comfy true wireless earbuds are on sale for just $148
Sony’s LinkBuds S are some of the most comfortable true wireless headphones on the market. Much of this is down to their lightweight build of just 4.8 grams per bud, although that light and airy feel normally comes at a premium price of $199.99. However, the LinkBuds S are currently on sale for $148 at Amazon and B&H Photo, while best buy also reduced them to $149.99.
These roughly $50 discounts are the best we’ve seen yet on these excellent buds, which feature active noise cancellation and LDAC support. If you’re looking for headphones that can give you a more comfortable fit for longer listening sessions, you can pick them up in black or white at these many retailers. (Best Buy also offers an exclusive Desert Sand color.)
While the LinkBuds S do very well on comfort, sound and call quality, they aren’t perfect. The biggest omission from these headphones is that their case lacks wireless charging, only supporting a USB-C cable to top them up. This might not be a deal breaker if you’re used to plugging in devices, but for headphones that normally cost $199.99, it’s definitely a downside. And while their sound quality may not match the Sony WF-1000XM4, the LinkBuds S are much cheaper with this sale.
What you get with the LinkBuds S, besides comfort, is LDAC support – something still sorely lacking in many other new high-end headphones. LDAC might not seem essential to everyone, but it’s the secret sauce to improving audio quality when paired with Android phones, bringing out richer detail in music. And while the LinkBuds S might not be the most fitness-focused buds (hello, Beats Fit Pro), they’re IPX4-rated for sweat and water resistance. It’s all definitely more appealing at this new lower price.
